Kelly Quan

Jiaxin (Kelly) Quan, from China, attended ACG Strathallan from 2013. She’s now studying Architecture Studies at the University of Auckland.

A top student who placed first in IGCSE Math, first in AS and A2 Math, and second overall in her Year 13 school exams – Kelly received multiple offers to universities in New Zealand and Australia.

She was also a talented artist who fully involved herself in the life of the school. Kelly won the International Dean’s Award in 2014 and came second a number of times. Despite being very shy, she took part in the 2015 school production as part of a group performing a Chinese pop song, and helped her fellow international students with their orientation to the school.

International Dean Sophia Grobler said Kelly was a positive influence on others.

“Kelly is an articulate student who was talented at everything. Students liked being with her whether she was tutoring them, in class, or at lunch.”

As for Kelly, she loved her time at the school.

“I made lots of friends and learned lots of things. The teachers were really patient and kind to students. Studying at ACG Strathallan has been a great experience in my life.”

Good luck for your studies, Kelly – we can’t wait to follow your progress.
