We offer welcoming homestays for international students who would like to study at our school.
Before any new placement is made, we inspect the home and interview the family to ensure it meets our strict criteria. Homestay families are vetted by the New Zealand Police and must sign a contract, agreeing to our specific rules and standards.
Once approved, homestay families are provided with training and on-going support. A friendly ACG Education assessor will also visit all international students under the age of 18, at least three times a year.
All payments are made directly to the homestay families from the ACG Student Fees Trust.
While staying in one our standard homestays, your child will have their own room with a bed, desk, heating and internet. They’ll have reasonable use of home facilities (such as TV and telephone) and will be provided with breakfast and dinner on weekdays, with lunch added for weekends and holidays. Laundry is also included.
All homestays are located on our school bus route which can be accessed by your child for an additional fee. Your child’s homestay family will ensure they know where to catch the bus before their first day of school.
