Congratulations to the four ACG Strathallan students who competed at the NZ Age Group Swimming Championships over the holidays.
Janaye Burnes (13, Pukekohe Swimming Club), Libby Murphy (14, Fulton Amateur Swimming Club), Olivia Nichol (15, Pukekohe Swimming Club) and Luke O’Connor (13, Papakura Swimming Club) swum at the 2019 Aon National Age Group Championship, held from 16-20 April at the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre in Kilbirnie.
The national event sees more than 700 of NZ’s best age group swimmers, along with 200 coaches and team managers, and over 300 supporters, converge for five days of competition.
All ACG Strathallan swimmers achieved personal best times in at least one event.
Two swimmers achieved podium places:
Luke O’Connor: 1st 100m Freestyle, 2nd 50m Freestyle (13-year-old boys);
Libby Murphy: 3rd 200m Butterfly (14-year-old girls)
