Preschoolers revel in snow day

Youngsters at ACG Strathallan preschool donned their warmest woollies to revel in two tonnes of snow delivered to the centre this week.

They threw it, tasted it, rolled in it and got it in their gumboots.

For many, it was their first experience of snow and they made full use of the sensory experience.

“Some children needed some encouragement to join in, but from that point forward, they were unstoppable,” said Preschool teacher Amy Haigh. “It was wonderful seeing the looks of joy on their faces and the wonder as they touched it for the first time.”
