ACG Strathallan is South Auckland’s top-ranked school again: Metro

“The Cambridge curriculum continues to offer our students the best possible preparation for university and the various pathways they follow when they leave school. It provides our experienced teachers with a detailed curriculum that allows them to spend quality time teaching their students.”
- Principal Danny O'Connor

ACG Strathallan is once again South Auckland’s top school according to academic results published in Metro magazine.

Metro’s just-released Best Schools list highlights the school’s outstanding University Entrance pass rates of 87%. That’s well above the private school average of 79% and sees ACG Strathallan 5th out of all private schools in Auckland, and 8th out of all 96 Auckland schools in the tables.

Principal Danny O’Connor attributes the exceptional results to the steadfast efforts of students, families and staff, teamed with the school’s supportive and caring environment.

“It was pleasing to see such a fantastic set of results,” he said. “The positive culture of learning that exists in the college encourages all of our students to strive for excellence so that they can attain the results they are capable of achieving.”

ACG Strathallan students all study the internationally recognised Cambridge programme, which features a learner-centred, progressive curriculum that empowers students of all academic abilities to thrive.

“The Cambridge curriculum continues to offer our students the best possible preparation for university and the various pathways they follow when they leave school. It provides our experienced teachers with a detailed curriculum that allows them to spend quality time teaching their students.”

But it’s not just excellent academic results that set ACG Strathallan apart. Values-orientated and dedicated to delivering holistic learning in a nurturing environment, the school prides itself on equipping young people with the confidence and skills they need to reach their full potential. And as much as classroom learning is one key area of focus, the school also provides exciting opportunities for students to expand their interest in sports, music, performing arts and a range of other extra-curricular activities.

“Our overarching goal is to provide our students with a holistic education that will help them to grow and develop into well-rounded people with the confidence to pursue their dreams,” Principal O’Connor said.
